Four Lakes Tour

South tourDiese Reise ist eine besondere Reise, weil die Reise tatsächlich zwei völlig verschiedene Teile Kirgistans zeigt. Der Norden mit seinen Nomaden und den schönen Djailos, der Süden mit seinen Walnusswäldern, die Einflüsse der Usbeken und die viel wärmeren Temperaturen. Die Route führt an vier Seen vorbei, daher nennen wir die Route auch die Vier-Seen-Route. Der Yssyk-Kul, der zweithöchste Bergsee der Welt; Son Kul, auf einer Höhe von über 3000 Metern, mit seinen Nomaden, die im Sommer ihr Vieh weiden lassen; über den Toktrogul-Stausee (Kirgisistans größtes Wasserkraftwerk) bis zum See Sary-Chelek, einem von Bergen und Wäldern umgebenen See, wo Sie die schönsten Pflanzen und Vögel finden. Dann besuchen wir Uzgen und Osh.

Diese Tour kann mit einer oder mehreren Trekking- / Pferdereisen, einer Runde um den Yssyk-Kul oder einer längeren Zeit im Süden verlängert werden, um beispielsweise ein Festival zu besuchen.

Days Route Altitude Short description
1 Manas – Bishkek  900 m Arrival in Bishkek. Have a rest. Get a brief information about the whole tour and places to be visited.  After lunch, make a city tour: visit open-air gallery, historical museum, Osh market etc. Have a welcoming dinner at a restaurant. Overnight in hotel.
2 Bishkek – Chyrpykty Breakfast, leaving for Chyrpykty village (220 km, 4 hours drive) on the northern shore of Issyk-Kul Lake. The tour includes a visit to the Burana Tower (15 km from the main road), an architectural complex dating back to 10 – 11th centuries (the Great Silk Road). Lunch en-route. Arrive in the afternoon. Stay at home with a local family.
3 Chyrpykty  1700 m Breakfast, go to beach, have a picnic, and swim. Dinner and accommodation at the local family in Chyrpykty.
4 Chyrpykty – Kochkor – Son Kol Breakfast. Head to Son Kol with a visit to the biggest felt making shops “Altyn – Kol” and “Kyal” in Kochkor. Lunch in a café. Arrive to Son Kol, the mountain lake on 3016 m altitude in the afternoon. Overnight and dinner in Yurt.
5 Son Kol 3050 m Spend the day enjoying your well-earned rest at the lakeside. Alternatively, you can watch and/or participate in everyday life of shepherds: milking mares, making national milk products like kymyz – a fermented mare’s milk, or airan – a sour dense milk product, or tend cattle. Eat a delicious lunch here, stroll along the lakeshore, and hope the legendary Song-Kol weather is kind.
6 Son Kol – Kyzyl Oi (Suusamyr)  2500 m Have an early breakfast and head to Suusamyr Valley. The valley is also located in high an altitude. Lunch en-route. Accommodation and meal by a local family.
7 Kyzyl Oi (Suusamyr) Breakfast up to your wishes. Walk around the village, communicate with local people, or ride a horse. Accommodation and meals by the local family.
8 Kyzyl Oi – Kara Suu CBT Early breakfast and long drive via Suusamyr valley, Ala Bell pass, Toktrogul water reservoir to Kara Suu village. Lunch en route. Accommodation and dinner at a local family.
9 Kara Suu – SaryChelek After breakfast go to Sary-Chelek Biosphere Nature Reserve and be there whole day. Sary-Chelek Lake lies between rocky slopes rising dramatically from the water. The lake is surrounded by walnut and fruit forests and more than 1000 species of plants, 160 species of birds and 34 species of mammals can be found in this relatively small and unspoiled park.  Have a picnic in the nature and come back to home stay evening.
10 Kara Suu CBT – Arslanbob Early leave to Arslanbob. Lunch en-route. Arrive to Arslanbob afternoon.
11 Arslanbob After breakfast, take a walk to the forest Arslanbob. The main treasure of the forest is the walnut tree. The forest lives up to 1000 years, reaching enormous size and fructifying abundantly. Accommodation and meals are by CBT.
12 Arslanbob – Uzgen – Osh Early breakfast and drive to Osh city, on the way visit Uzgen town. It was once a major trading point on the Great Silk Road, Uzgen Minaret and Mausoleums dating from  11th -12th centuries are unique architectural sites of medieval Central Asia. Lunch en Route. Arrive to Osh afternoon. Accommodation is by CBT. Dinner at a local café.
13 Osh Breakfast, do the city tour. Osh is the oldest and second largest city in Kyrgyzstan. In 2009, Suleiman Mountain was included in the World Heritage by UNESCO. On the top of the mount you`ll have a wonderful panoramic view to the whole Osh City. Accommodation is by CBT. Lunch and dinner at cafés.
14 Osh – Bishkek Transfer to Osh airport and take your flight to Bishkek. Farewell dinner at restaurant. Overnight in hotel.
15 Departure Transfer to Airport and say goodbye to Kyrgyzstan!
